PPE Decon Disinfectant is an effective disinfectant against a wide range of both gram-negative and gram-positive bacteria, fungi (mould) and many types of viruses.

Disinfection of face mask

PPE Decon Disinfectant has been specially developed for the disinfection of breathing masks in washing machines. The masks are placed in the Interspiro protective washing bags and a special washing program with a disinfection step is used. For the disinfection step, 15 minutes and 40 °C apply.

A working dilution of PPE Decon Disinfectant and PPE Decon Detergent can be used for a one-step manual cleaning and disinfection of face masks.

Thorough drying of breathing masks at max 60° C, max 2 hours, limits the growth of many types of microorganisms.

General disinfection

PPE Decon Disinfectant can also be used as a stand-alone disinfectant or togheter with PPE Decon Detergent as one-step cleaning and disinfection of most materials that tolerate water, such as plastics, rubber, stainless steel, aluminium, glass, ceramics, clinker, lacquered and painted surfaces, as well as most types of textiles.

One-step cleaning and disinfection:
Prepare a solution according the dosage below in luke warm water (30 °C - 45 °C). Stir thoroughly. Process the surfaces with a sponge or soft brush, total time in the bath 15 minutes.

Stand-alone disinfection:
Prepare a solution according the dosage below in luke warm water (30 °C - 45 °C). Stir thoroughly. Put washed equipment in the bath for about 15 minutes and then rinse thoroughly with clean water, warm rinsing water increases the effect (max. 50 °C).

Dosage

Disinfection in washing machines:
0,5% in a separate disinfection step after the cleaning step but before rinsing.

One-step manual cleaning and disinfection:
0.5% PPE Decon Detergent + 0.5 % PPE Decon Disinfectant 
(e.g. 25 mL + 25 mL in 5 L water)

Stand-alone manual disinfection:
- Soft water (0-6 dH): 0.5%.
- Medium hard water (7-13 dH): 0.75%.
- Hard water (14-20 dH): 1.0%

This product has been tested according to European standards EN 1040, EN 1276, EN 14476, EN 13697, EN 1656, EN 1657, EN WI 15 and for fungicidal activity.
Product ingredients are rapidly biologically degradable according to OECD criteria.
